“Shramdham is not just an initiative, it is a shelter for the needy” : Ramesh Tawadkar
Canacona: In a compassionate gesture reflecting his commitment to social welfare, Goa Legislative Assembly Speaker Shri Ramesh Tawadkar laid the foundation stone for the house of Smt. Jayashri Rajendra Gaondogrikar, a widowed resident of Gaondogrim, Canacona.
Smt. Gaondogrikar had been living in unsafe and dilapidated conditions for several years, enduring immense hardships, particularly during the monsoon season. Moved by her difficult circumstances, Shri Tawadkar ensured that a new, secure home would be built for her under the Shramdham Initiative.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Tawadkar said, “This initiative is not just about building homes, but about restoring dignity and safety to those who have long suffered in silence. Our efforts are focused on reaching out to the most vulnerable and bringing about real, positive change in their lives.”
