Girish Chodankar Holds Puducherry Congress Committee Meeting; Sparks Enthusiasm Among Workers
Puducherry : Congress in-charge for Puducherry, Girish Chodankar, held a meeting today with the Puducherry Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) executive. The meeting involved an in-depth discussion on the failures of the BJP-led government, rising unemployment, discontinued welfare schemes, and increasing corruption in the administration.
Referring to the political situation in Goa, Chodankar emphasized the need for unity among local leaders in Puducherry. He stated that although Puducherry is smaller in size compared to Goa, unity among leaders is crucial. Just as the BJP government in Goa is functioning in a reckless manner, it is the responsibility of the opposition to come together and stop such governance in Puducherry as well.
He said, “If we unite, the fight against corruption will be successful. It is time for everyone to work with one heart to stop the corrupt BJP rule.” His impactful speech generated a wave of enthusiasm among the attending leaders and workers.
Chodankar also mentioned that his close observation of Goan politics would prove useful in strengthening the Congress party in Puducherry. Many local leaders expressed confidence that under his leadership, the Congress could regain power in the region.
During the meeting, party workers expressed strong dissatisfaction over the government’s continued neglect of people’s core issues. They pointed out that these problems are directly affecting the lives of ordinary citizens.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Girish Chodankar affirmed that the Congress party is committed to the welfare of the people of Puducherry. The party is working to present a strong and responsible alternative at the local level—one that understands the needs of the people and is ready to serve them sincerely.
The meeting concluded with a firm resolve to re-establish an effective and people-centric administration in Puducherry.
