ECI to Conduct 2-Day Training for BLOs at IIIDEM
Panaji : The Election Commission of India (ECI) will be organizing a two-day training and capacity building programme for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) at the India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management (IIIDEM), New Delhi.
This marks the third batch of BLOs from the poll-bound state of Bihar to undergo specialized training at the institute.
The training aims to familiarize BLOs with their statutory roles and responsibilities, ensuring they are well-equipped to maintain accurate and error-free electoral rolls. Participants will also receive hands-on training in IT applications developed to streamline and support their duties.
IIIDEM has earned international acclaim for its election management practices. So far, over 3,000 participants from 141 countries—including major democracies such as Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States, Brazil, Egypt, France, Indonesia, Israel, Russia, and South Africa—have benefited from its training programmes.
