Inaugurate Cancer Screening Abhiyaan at PHC Balli
Quepem : In a significant step towards enhancing public health services, Quepem MLA Altone D’Costa, along with the Hon’ble Leader of Opposition Shri Yuri Alemao, inaugurated the Cancer Screening Abhiyaan programme organised by the Primary Health Center (PHC) Balli.
The event witnessed the active participation of Health Officer Dr. Benita Dias and the dedicated staff of PHC Balli. Following the inauguration, MLA D’Costa and Shri Alemao inspected the overall functioning of the health centre, interacting with medical staff and reviewing the facilities available to the public.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA D’Costa reaffirmed his commitment to the well-being of the people of Quepem, stating, “Together with our Hon’ble Leader of Opposition, we remain committed to the health and well-being of our constituents. By continuously engaging with the authorities, we will strive to improve healthcare facilities and ensure better services for the people of Quepem.”
He further urged the people of Quepem to actively participate in the health camps organised by the Health Department, emphasizing the importance of early detection and regular health check-ups for a healthier future.
The initiative marks a proactive move by local leaders to promote preventive healthcare and strengthen grassroots health infrastructure in South Goa.
