Selection Trials for Civil Services Chess Championship
Panaji : The All India Civil Service Cultural and Sports Board, in collaboration with the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, Panaji, will organize the All India Civil Services Chess Tournament (Men & Women) from May 21 to May 30, 2025, at Bahusaheb Bandodkar Krida Sankool, Peddem, Mapusa.
In view of this, the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs will conduct selection trials to form the Goa State Civil Services Chess Team. The trials will be held at the Badminton Hall, Peddem, Mapusa, on May 6 and May 7, 2025, starting from 9:00 a.m. onwards.
Interested players, who are regular government employees, must report to Smt. Antoneta Pinto, APEO, the in-charge officer, at the venue by 9:00 a.m. on May 6, 2025, along with a valid identity card duly signed by the Head of their Department. Reporting on May 6 is compulsory.
As per the All India Civil Services eligibility criteria, the following categories are not eligible for the trials:
Junior Resident Doctors
Uniformed personnel in Defence Services, Para Military Forces, Police, RFS, CISF, ITBP, National School Games, and SPG
Newly recruited Government employees with less than six months of service in regular establishment
