CM Pramod Sawant Honours Unorganised Sector Workers with ‘Shram Gaurav Awards 2025
Panaji : On the occasion of International Labour Day, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant paid tribute to the invaluable contributions of workers across sectors, especially those in the unorganised workforce, during a special ceremony where the ‘Shram Gaurav Awards 2025’ were presented.
The event celebrated the hard work, resilience, and dedication of Goa’s labour force, recognizing them as the backbone of the state’s progress and the real architects of #SwayampurnaGoa. Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister stated, “Today, we honour the hands that build our homes, grow our food, and drive our development. The Shram Gaurav Awards are a tribute to their relentless spirit.”
The awards, facilitated in collaboration with the Disha Foundation, highlighted the vital role of unorganised sector workers in Goa’s economy. Dr. Sawant lauded the Foundation for its ongoing efforts in uplifting workers through empowerment, training, and welfare initiatives.
“Together with Disha Foundation, we reaffirm our commitment to ensuring dignity, social security, and inclusive growth for every worker,” the Chief Minister added. He emphasized the government’s continued efforts to create opportunities and safeguard the rights of every labourer in the state.
The ceremony concluded with a renewed pledge to work towards a more inclusive and empowered workforce in Goa.
