Union Minister Shripad Naik Hands Over School Buses Under HUDCO’s CSR Initiative
Panjim, Goa: In a significant boost to educational infrastructure in Goa, Union Minister Shripad Naik handed over three school buses to local educational institutions as part of a major Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative by the Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO).
At a formal function held at Paryatan Bhavan in Panjim, Minister Naik presented the buses to:
Shikshan Prasarak Sangh’s Shree Mahalaxmi English High School, Talauli (Ponda)
Gopalkrishna Vidhyaprasarak Sanstha’s Gopal Krishna High School, Sakhali
Shantiniketan Education Society’s Vivekanand Higher Secondary School, Balli (Quepem)
The three buses, procured at a total cost of ₹75.73 lakh, aim to improve student accessibility and facilitate safer, more reliable transportation for schoolchildren. Minister Naik emphasized the importance of such CSR efforts in strengthening the state’s educational support systems and commended HUDCO for its continued contribution to social welfare initiatives.
The initiative reflects a growing focus on inclusive development and public-private collaboration in Goa’s education sector.
