Goa Vikas Manthan: A Collaborative Roadmap for Sustainable Progress
Panaji : Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant has taken a decisive step toward realizing the vision of Viksit Goa 2047, following the success of the Goa Vikas Manthan symposium held on December 15, 2024. The event brought together domain experts, thought leaders, and key stakeholders to collectively chart a progressive and inclusive development roadmap for Goa.
The symposium served as a platform for diverse voices to contribute actionable ideas toward Goa’s long-term growth, encompassing sectors such as education, tourism, infrastructure, environment, and innovation. The outcome was a comprehensive report encapsulating the aspirations and expert insights of Goans from across the state and beyond.
Acting on the recommendations, Chief Minister Sawant recently chaired a high-level follow-up meeting with the Chief Secretary, all Government Secretaries, Heads of Departments, and representatives from Vivek SPARC — the think tank instrumental in preparing the report. The meeting focused on fast-tracking the implementation of key initiatives and aligning departmental priorities with the Viksit Goa 2047 vision.
CM Sawant emphasized the importance of collaborative governance, innovation, and time-bound execution to transform Goa into a model state by 2047 — marking 100 years of India’s independence. The government is expected to announce sector-wise action plans in the coming weeks.
“This is a people-driven vision. Goa Vikas Manthan reflects the spirit of every Goan who dreams of a prosperous, inclusive, and sustainable future,” said Dr. Sawant.
The initiative underlines the government’s commitment to structured, expert-led planning as a foundation for Goa’s development journey into the next two decades.
