CM Pramod Sawant Inaugurates Key Infrastructure Projects in Amona Village

Panaji: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant inaugurated a series of development projects in Amona village today, reaffirming the government’s commitment to strengthening rural infrastructure and empowering communities under the Swayampurna Goa mission.

During his visit, the Chief Minister inaugurated the newly renovated Village Panchayat Office of Amona, the Atal Tinkering Block aimed at promoting innovation among students, and the Material Recovery Facility (Waste Storage Shed) to enhance local waste management. He also laid the foundation stone for an Artificial Turf and announced the renovation of the playground at the Government High School, Amona.

Highlighting the government’s focus on education, Dr. Sawant felicitated meritorious SSC students of the village and handed over Vedanta Utkarsh Scholarships to support their academic journey.

“These facilities will serve the people of Amona better and significantly contribute to the village’s transformation into a Swayampurna (self-reliant) model,” said the Chief Minister. “The Government of Goa remains dedicated to the enhancement of public infrastructure for the benefit of the people.”

The event marks another step forward in the holistic development of Amona village, aligning with the state’s broader vision of inclusive and sustainable growth.
