MLA Jit Arolkar Provides Immediate Relief to Cashew Farmers Affected by Heatwave Fires
Pernem : In the wake of the recent extreme heatwave that led to multiple fire incidents, several cashew plantations in the Pernem constituency have suffered significant damage, affecting the livelihood of local farmers.
MLA Jit Arolkar has taken prompt action by extending immediate financial assistance of ₹10,000 each to 24 affected individuals. The relief was disbursed through his office to provide urgent support to those impacted by the devastation.
Speaking on the matter, MLA Arolkar said, “We are deeply concerned about the losses faced by our people due to the unprecedented heat fires. This immediate relief is a step toward helping them recover. Further support under relevant government schemes will also be pursued through proper channels.”
He emphasized the government’s commitment to addressing such crises with timely and responsible governance and assured continued assistance to mitigate future risks.
