Goa Team to Depart for Udaipur on June 4; 16 Players to Participate
The Goa team will depart for Udaipur, Rajasthan, on June 4 to participate in the 4th Qazaq Kures National Championship 2025. The team comprises a total of 16 players selected from across Goa. These players were chosen through a selection trial organized by the Qazaq Kures Association of Goa.
All travel and related expenses for the players will be borne by the association. The primary objective of the association is to instill a sporting spirit among underprivileged students and nurture talented athletes, said the association’s president, Dr. Tarak Arolkar.
“We are providing opportunities to aspiring athletes from the grassroots level. Through this effort, Goa will soon achieve a top position in the country in Qazaq Kures,” he added. “I will personally be present at the national championship, scheduled from June 6 to 8, to encourage the players,” he stated.
Raghunath Shintre, Secretary of the Qazaq Kures Association of Goa, said, “We are consistently working towards developing quality players. In the previous national championship, our players won multiple medals, bringing pride to Goa. We are confident that this year too, our athletes will win gold medals. I am personally focusing on their coaching, and I am confident that Goa’s players will achieve greater success at the national level in the near future.”
This championship is a golden opportunity for athletes from Goa, and the team is determined to make the state proud on the national stage.
