MLA Jit Arolkar Lays Foundation Stone for MRF Shed at Keri
Keri, Goa: In a significant move towards promoting scientific waste management and environmental sustainability, MLA Jit Arolkar laid the foundation stone for a Material Recovery Facility (MRF) shed at Keri, near the ferry point.
The initiative marks an important step in institutionalising effective waste segregation and recycling practices in the locality, ensuring long-term ecological benefits and improved civic hygiene.
MLA Arolkar expressed gratitude to the Querim-Tiracol Village Panchayat, especially Sarpanch Dharati Nagoji, the Panchayat members, government officials, and the local residents for their active participation and continued support in strengthening grassroots civic infrastructure.
“This MRF facility will empower the local community with the tools and resources needed for responsible waste disposal and management. It reflects our commitment to sustainable development and a cleaner Goa,” said Arolkar during the ceremony.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the villagers and stakeholders, reinforcing the collective will to build a cleaner, greener future for the region.
