Special Atal Asra Yojna Camp Held in Valpoi for Poriem Constituency Beneficiaries
Valpoi : A special Atal Asra Yojna Camp was organized today at the Valpoi Municipality Hall, exclusively for beneficiaries from the Poriem Constituency. The camp aimed to expedite the application process and provide immediate assistance to eligible residents seeking financial support for home repairs under the flagship housing welfare scheme.
The event was graced by Hon’ble Minister for Social Welfare Shri Subhash Phaldessai, Hon’ble MLA of Poriem Dr. Deviya Rane, Deputy Director of Social Welfare Smt. Sanjana Bandekar, Chairperson Smt. Prasanna Gawas, along with Sarpanchs, Panchayat Members of the Poriem Constituency, and key government officials including the Block Development Officer, Mamlatdar, and Deputy Collector of Sattari Taluka.
The camp focused on:
Submission of pending applications under the Atal Asra Yojna
Review of incomplete or improperly documented applications
On-the-spot processing for fund approval
Speaking at the event, Hon’ble Minister Shri Subhash Phaldessai said,
“The Atal Asra Yojna stands as a beacon of support for the underprivileged. These camps help bridge the gap between the government and the people, ensuring that no eligible citizen is left behind. I appreciate the efforts of Dr. Deviya Rane for taking the lead in reaching out to families in need.”
Hon’ble MLA Dr. Deviya Rane reaffirmed her commitment to grassroots welfare, stating,
“Housing is a fundamental right. Through the Atal Asra Yojna, we are determined to uplift every deserving family. I urge all eligible beneficiaries to take full advantage of this scheme. I also thank the Department of Social Welfare for this proactive approach.”
About the Scheme:
The Atal Asra Yojna, implemented by the Department of Social Welfare, Government of Goa, provides financial assistance of ₹1,50,000 to economically weaker sections for the repair of existing homes, promoting safer and improved living conditions.
This special outreach initiative highlights the government’s focus on efficient delivery of welfare schemes and ensuring inclusive development at the grassroots.
