Goa BLOs to Undergo Electoral Training in New Delhi
Panaji : A team of 40 Block Level Officers (BLOs) from Goa, each representing one of the state’s 40 assembly constituencies, has departed for New Delhi to participate in the Round 9 Training Programme for BLOs and BLO Supervisors. The training will be held from June 2 to 3, 2025, at the India International Institute of Democracy and Election Management (IIIDEM), Dwarka.
The two-day training programme, organized for officials from Goa, Gujarat, and Kerala, aims to enhance the efficiency and awareness of BLOs regarding their roles and responsibilities in the electoral process. Participants will receive in-depth instruction on the proper handling and assessment of various electoral forms, legal provisions related to the electoral roll, and voter facilitation procedures.
To ensure practical understanding, the training sessions will include role plays and simulated scenarios, allowing BLOs to engage actively with real-world challenges they may encounter during electoral duties.
The initiative is part of the Election Commission of India’s continuous efforts to strengthen grassroots-level electoral administration through capacity building and standardized training modules.
