CM Pramod Sawant Congratulates Indian Navy Officers on Completion of ‘Navika Sagar Parikrama II’
Vasco, Goa: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant extended his heartfelt congratulations to Indian Navy officers Lt. Cdr. Dilna K and Lt. Cdr. Roopa A on the successful completion of the ‘Navika Sagar Parikrama II’ aboard the INSV Tarini. The felicitation took place in the esteemed presence of the Hon’ble Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh at INS Hansa, Goa.
Describing the moment as truly inspiring, the Chief Minister lauded the officers for their remarkable courage, unwavering commitment, and exceptional endurance in completing this historic circumnavigation. “Their journey is a powerful testament to the strength, resilience, and determination of women in uniform serving the nation with pride and excellence,” he stated.
The circumnavigation mission, undertaken by an all-women crew, marks a significant milestone in India’s maritime history and underscores the growing role of women in the Armed Forces.
Dr. Sawant also shared that the Government of Goa will soon be formally honouring Lt. Cdr. Dilna K and Lt. Cdr. Roopa A for their extraordinary achievement and for bringing pride to the nation and the state.
