Applications Invited for Six-Month Fisheries Training Course
Panaji : The Directorate of Fisheries, Government of Goa, has invited applications for a six-month Fisheries Training Course commencing from July 1, 2025 at the Fishermen Training Centre, Ela Dhauji, Old Goa.
The comprehensive training program will cover key aspects such as Fishing Craft and Gear, Fundamentals of Navigation and Seamanship, Marine Diesel Engine Maintenance and Operation, Net Weaving and Mending, Seafood Value Addition and Marketing, Aquaculture, Aquarium Making, and Swimming.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must have passed at least 8th standard and be between 18 to 35 years of age. Preference will be given to candidates from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and youth from the fishing community with sea experience.
Only 20 seats are available for this batch. Selected candidates will be provided with a monthly stipend of ₹1000, along with ₹100 per day as daily allowance during fishing trips.
