Project Parivartan is a multi-year, multi-stakeholder collaboration between Pfizer India, Americares India Foundation, GMC, and DHS. The project focuses on three critical areas:
Tackling Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)
Strengthening Infection Prevention and Control (IPC)
Establishing a robust Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) framework across Goa’s public healthcare institutions.
Aligned with the National Action Plan on AMR and the World Health Organization’s global priorities, the initiative aims to ensure responsible use of antibiotics and improve patient safety outcomes throughout the state.
Speaking after the review, Minister Rane emphasized the government’s commitment to building a resilient and future-ready healthcare system.
“Under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, Goa is pioneering innovative and collaborative models to enhance public health delivery. Project Parivartan exemplifies our focus on evidence-based healthcare reform, infection control, and high standards of patient care,” he stated.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of all partners’ continued support to scale the project’s impact and ensure sustainability across healthcare institutions in Goa.
