MLA Altone D’Costa Distributes Cashew Saplings to Farmers under Watershed Project
Quepem : In a continued effort to support the farming community, MLA Altone D’Costa distributed cashew saplings to farmers from the Morpirla, Barcem, Balli, and Fatorpa panchayat areas under the Watershed Project. The initiative aims to promote sustainable agriculture and enhance livelihoods in the Quepem constituency.
Speaking at the distribution event, MLA Altone D’Costa reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare of farmers, stating, “I have always taken a keen interest in supporting our farmers, who are the backbone of our rural economy.”
He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Zonal Agriculture Office, Quepem, particularly ZAO Shri Kritiraj Naik Gaonkar and his dedicated team, for their relentless efforts in implementing and promoting agricultural schemes across the constituency.
MLA D’Costa also acknowledged the cooperation of local leaders, extending thanks to Morpirla Panchayat Sarpanch Smt. Ashwini Gaonkar, Deputy Sarpanch Shri Prakash Velip, and Panchayat members Smt. Sangita Gaonkar, Shri Nitesh Gaonkar, and Smt. Suvarna Velip for their active participation and valuable guidance to the farmers in availing the benefits of the scheme.
