Minister Mauvin Godinho Inaugurates GCCI Conclave on Inclusive and Sustainable Growth for Goa @ 2037
Panaji : Minister for Transport, Industries, and Panchayati Raj, Shri Mauvin Godinho, inaugurated the Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (GCCI) Conclave on Inclusive and Sustainable Growth for Goa @ 2037, calling it a landmark initiative to envision a bold and inclusive roadmap for the state’s future.
Commending GCCI President Shri Srinivas Dempo and his team for curating a forward-thinking platform, Minister Godinho highlighted the conclave’s pivotal role in bringing together policymakers, industry leaders, and changemakers under one roof to deliberate on Goa’s long-term development trajectory.
In his keynote address, Shri Godinho underscored the urgency of fostering inclusive development, urging all stakeholders to ensure the active participation of women, youth, startups, and local entrepreneurs in Goa’s evolving economic landscape. “We must move beyond our traditional reliance on tourism and mining and look toward industrial transformation, infrastructure modernization, digital innovation, and policies that actively nurture entrepreneurship,” he asserted.
He emphasized that true progress is only possible when government, industry, and civil society work together with a shared vision, mutual trust, and a spirit of technological foresight. “Despite our small geographical size, Goa can emerge as a model state for the rest of the country,” he added, calling for unified efforts to contribute meaningfully to the national vision of a Viksit Bharat by 2047.
The conclave witnessed the presence of several eminent dignitaries and thought leaders, including Shri Lalit Saraswat, Shri Jyotin Kutty, Shri Srinivas Dempo, Dr. V. Candavelou, Smt. Pratima Dhond, and Shri Rohan Bhandare. Their diverse perspectives enriched the dialogue on Goa’s socio-economic future and the strategies needed to realize it.
