Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar Inaugurates Footbridge at Borimol Tale, Gaondongrim
Gaondongrim : Goa Legislative Assembly Speaker Shri Ramesh Tawadkar inaugurated the newly constructed footbridge at Borimol Tale in Gaondongrim, bringing long-awaited relief to local residents who had been risking their lives daily to cross the bandhara using unsafe wooden poles.
For years, nearly 15 households in the area depended on a makeshift and dangerous wooden passage to commute, especially during the monsoon season when the risk of slipping or falling into the stream increased manifold.
The newly built footbridge now offers a permanent and safe solution, ensuring secure and uninterrupted movement for the villagers.
Speaking at the inauguration, Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar said, “It gives me immense happiness to see the smiles on the faces of our people. Their needs and safety will always remain our top priority.”
The footbridge is expected to significantly improve connectivity and quality of life in the area, especially for school-going children, senior citizens, and women who earlier faced great difficulty.
This development is part of an ongoing effort to improve rural infrastructure and address long-pending issues affecting the daily lives of the people.
