CM Pramod Sawant Inaugurates ₹21 Crore Water Supply Project under ‘Har Ghar Nal Se Jal’ at Agassaim

Agassaim ; Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant on Sunday inaugurated the Phase-I Part-II of the ‘Har Ghar Nal Se Jal’ project in Agassaim, St. Andre constituency. The inauguration ceremony was held in the esteemed presence of local MLA Shri Viresh Borkar and other dignitaries.

The ₹21 crore project, implemented under the Jal Jeevan Mission, includes the construction of a 2000m³ Ground Level Reservoir (GLR) and a 650m³ Overhead Reservoir (OHR). It also involves major upgrades to the water supply network benefitting residents of Agassaim, Bambolim, Nauxim, and surrounding areas in the St. Andre constituency.

Speaking at the occasion, CM Dr. Sawant emphasized the government’s commitment to all-round development and improving the quality of life for every Goan. “Our focus remains on strengthening infrastructure and ensuring the ‘Ease of Living’ for all citizens. Projects like this are a testament to that vision,” he said.

The new infrastructure will ensure reliable, clean, and continuous water supply through household connections while retrofitting and improving existing water schemes, thereby aligning with the broader objectives of the Jal Jeevan Mission.

MLA Viresh Borkar welcomed the initiative and expressed confidence that the improved water infrastructure will significantly benefit the local population and ease long-standing issues related to water supply.

The government of Goa continues to implement vital infrastructure projects across the state, reflecting its vision for sustainable development and enhanced public services.
