Siolim MLA Drives Green Initiative with Free Plant Saplings Distribution Program
Siolim : In a commendable effort to promote environmental awareness and sustainability, Siolim MLA Delilah Lobo spearheaded a Free Plant Saplings Distribution Program under the nationwide campaign #EkPedMaaKeNaam. The event was held at the Village Panchayat Oxel-Siolim and witnessed enthusiastic participation from the local community.
The program, conducted as part of the MLA Initiative, was aimed at encouraging residents to actively contribute to a greener and cleaner Siolim. MLA Delilah Lobo personally handed over saplings to the attendees, accompanied by Sarpanch Adv. Reshal Arporkar and Panch Members of VP Oxel-Siolim.
Speaking at the event, MLA Lobo emphasized the importance of environmental conservation and the need for collective community action to ensure a sustainable future. “Planting trees is a small step, but one that can create a lasting impact on our environment and future generations,” she said.
This initiative reflects the MLA’s strong commitment to eco-friendly development and community engagement, setting a positive example for other constituencies across Goa. The event concluded with a pledge from the locals to nurture the saplings and continue participating in green initiatives.
