Tuem : MLA Jit Arolkar conducted an urgent on-site assessment at Tuem following the structural failure and subsequent collapse of a roadside protection wall, which has resulted in significant soil displacement and the exposure of sub-surface drainage infrastructure.
The incident raised serious concerns regarding slope stability and potential erosion hazards in the area. Taking immediate cognizance of the situation, MLA Arolkar directed the concerned authorities to carry out a detailed inspection and implement appropriate remedial measures at the earliest.
Instructions were issued to restore the structural integrity of the wall, stabilize the affected slope, and ensure the safety of nearby infrastructure. Authorities have been urged to expedite restoration efforts to prevent further damage and risk to public safety.
