Newly Renovated Sulabh Toilet Complex Inaugurated Near Baina Beach
Mormugao : In a significant step towards promoting sanitation and public hygiene, the much-awaited newly renovated and refurbished Sulabh Toilet Complex near Baina Beach was inaugurated today in Mormugao Constituency. The state-of-the-art facility, the first of its kind in Mormugao Taluka, is expected to play a key role in advancing the Swachh Bharat Mission envisioned by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
MLA Shri Sankalp Amonkar, who inaugurated the complex, expressed his happiness over the completion of this vital public infrastructure. “It is indeed a proud and happy moment to see this modern toilet complex become a reality. This facility will greatly benefit the people of Baina as well as visitors to the beach,” he said.
MLA Amonkar also extended his gratitude to Hon’ble Chief Minister and PWD Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant for the support and assistance in executing the project.
The inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of several dignitaries, including Chairperson of Mormugao Municipal Council (MMC) Shri Girish Borkar, Ward Councilor Smt. Shraddha Amonkar, Chief Officer Shri Siddhivinayak Naik, President of Murgao BJP Mandal Adv. Avinash Naik, General Secretary Shri Dipak Mhalsekar, Hony. Controller of Sulabh International Social Service Organisation Shri Sushil Kumar, Hony. Dy. Controller Smt. Pratibha Naik, Assistant Engineer (PWD – Sewerage) Shri Alfred Gracias, and Assistant Engineer (SIDCGL) Smt. Waradraj Surlakar.
A large number of local residents also gathered to witness the event, marking a new milestone in improving public amenities in the area.
