U.S. Bombs Iranian Nuclear Sites; Iran Vows Retaliation Amid Escalating Conflict with Israel
Tehran : Iran declared that the recent U.S. strike on its nuclear facilities has broadened the scope of legitimate targets for Iranian forces, warning of a fierce response. U.S. President Donald Trump was labeled a “gambler” for joining Israel’s military campaign, which began with a surprise Israeli strike on June 13 that killed top Iranian commanders.
On Sunday, the U.S. dropped massive bunker-buster bombs on Iran’s underground Fordow nuclear site, reportedly causing severe damage. Trump hailed the strike as a “bullseye,” while hinting at a possible regime change in Iran via social media.
In retaliation, Iran launched missiles at Israel, killing 24 civilians and injuring hundreds.
Meanwhile, Israeli airstrikes have continued unabated, hitting key Iranian military installations in Kermanshah and Tehran, reportedly killing over 400 people.
Despite threats, Iran has not yet directly attacked U.S. bases or blocked oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz. However, Iranian lawmakers have approved a potential closure of the Strait, pending higher approval.
Oil prices spiked but remain below crisis levels. The U.S. warned Iran against disrupting global oil flow, while Iran’s foreign minister coordinated with Russia amid rising tensions.
