Minister Nitesh Rane Visits Versova Koliwada; Assures Swift Action on Fisherfolk’s Demands
Mumbai : Maharashtra Minister Nitesh Rane attended a special event organized by the Vesava Koli Sahakari Sarvodaya Society Ltd. and Vesava Koli Nakhwa Machhimar Mandal at Andheri Versova Koliwada, where he inspected the Versova Fishing Jetty and interacted with the local Koli fishing community.
During the visit, the minister listened to the concerns of the local fishermen and held constructive discussions aimed at resolving their long-pending issues. Recognizing the urgent need for better infrastructure, he took note of the demand for a dedicated fish market shed and a cold storage facility. Minister Rane assured the community that a solution would be implemented at the earliest.
Also present at the occasion were Fisheries Commissioner Kishore Tawde, BJP Mumbai North-West District President Gyanmurti Sharma, Rajshree Bhanji, Charul Bhanji, Rajhans Tapke, Jayaraj Chandi, Sharda Patil, Parag Bhave, and other dignitaries.
