No Ceasefire Yet; Will Halt Response if Israel Stops Attacks: Iran

Tehran : In a sharp rebuttal to claims made by former U.S. President Donald Trump regarding a ceasefire agreement between Iran and Israel, the Iranian government on Monday clarified that no such agreement currently exists.

“As of now, there is no agreement on any ceasefire,” a statement from Iranian officials said, countering Trump’s earlier announcement of a “complete and total ceasefire” between the two nations.

However, Iran indicated a willingness to de-escalate the situation, stating, “Provided that the Israeli regime stops its illegal aggression against the Iranian people no later than 4 am Tehran time, we have no intention to continue our response afterwards.”

The statement reflects Iran’s conditional approach to halting retaliatory operations, hinging entirely on an immediate end to Israeli military actions. Tensions have escalated sharply in recent weeks amid a series of cross-border attacks and heightened regional instability.

As the international community watches developments closely, calls for restraint continue to grow to prevent a wider conflict in the Middle East.
