Trump Hints at Possible Patriot Missile Aid to Ukraine After NATO Meet

U.S. President Donald Trump indicated a potential shift in Ukraine policy on Wednesday, suggesting he may supply Kyiv with more Patriot air-defence missiles following a 50-minute meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy at a NATO summit in The Hague. Trump acknowledged the missiles are “very hard to get” but said the U.S. would explore making some available.

The meeting, described by both leaders as positive, covered key issues including ceasefire prospects and broader peace efforts. Zelenskiy called it “long and substantive,” noting discussions on protecting Ukrainian citizens and achieving peace.

Trump also left open the possibility of expanding military aid to Ukraine, despite his previous reluctance to continue the arms support initiated under President Biden. He added that he plans to speak with Russian President Vladimir Putin soon, urging an end to the conflict.

The meeting marks a crucial moment in Kyiv’s efforts to repair ties with Washington.
