CM Briefs Media on International Purple Fest 2025; Launches Registration App
Porvorim : Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant addressed the media at the Mantralaya in Porvorim today, providing key details about the upcoming International Purple Fest–2025, scheduled to be held from 9th to 12th October 2025 in Goa. The state government is organizing the four-day event in collaboration with the United Nations, reinforcing its commitment to inclusivity and accessibility.
This year, the festival will revolve around the theme: “Universal Design and Inclusive Thinking”, aiming to promote an environment that is accessible and welcoming to persons with disabilities.
During the briefing, the Chief Minister also launched the official Registration App for the Purple Fest, making it easier for participants and stakeholders to register and engage with the event.
The press conference was attended by key dignitaries including Social Welfare Minister Shri Subhash Phal Dessai, Secretary (Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities) Shri Prasanna A. Acharya, IAS, State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities Shri Guruprasad Pawaskar, and Director of the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Smt. Varsha Naik, among others.
The Purple Fest is expected to draw national and international attention and will showcase Goa’s dedication to creating an inclusive society.
