At Least 67 Palestinians Killed in 24 Hours at US-Backed Gaza Aid Site: Al Jazeera
Gaza : In yet another deadly incident in the besieged Gaza Strip, at least 67 starving Palestinians were reportedly killed by Israeli forces within the last 24 hours while awaiting humanitarian aid at the US-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) distribution point, according to Al Jazeera.
The United Nations had earlier denounced the GHF sites as a “death trap,” warning of repeated incidents where desperate civilians were targeted while seeking essential supplies. The latest attack brings the death toll at GHF-linked aid sites to over 500 since the onset of the crisis.
The war, which began on October 7, 2023, has resulted in the deaths of more than 56,000 Palestinians, with thousands more injured and displaced amid collapsing infrastructure and limited access to food, water, and medical care.
International outrage continues to mount, with rights groups calling for urgent ceasefire measures and accountability for violations of humanitarian law in Gaza.
