ENTRIES INVITED FOR NHRC SHORT FILM COMPETITION 2025
Panaji : The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), India, has invited entries for the 11th edition of its annual Short Film Competition on Human Rights. Instituted in 2015, the competition aims to promote awareness and understanding of human rights through creative audio-visual storytelling.
The contest is open to all individuals, regardless of age. Participants can submit short films in Hindi or any Indian language, provided they include English subtitles. The duration of the film should be a minimum of 3 minutes and a maximum of 10 minutes.
Attractive cash prizes await the winners. The first prize is ₹2 lakh, second prize ₹1.5 lakh, and third prize ₹1 lakh. In addition, up to four films may receive a ‘Certificate of Special Mention’ along with a cash prize of ₹50,000 each, subject to the recommendation of the jury. All winners will also receive certificates and trophies.
The last date to submit entries is August 31, 2025. Entries must be shared via Google Drive and sent to nhrcshortfilm@gmail.com.
