CM Pramod Sawant Launches IRIS Peridot MSME TV App at World MSME Day 2025 Celebration in Goa
Panaji : Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant attended and addressed the World MSME Day 2025 event organized by the Directorate of Industries, Trade and Commerce (DITC), Government of Goa. The event was held in the presence of Industries Minister Shri Mauvin Godinho and brought together stakeholders from Goa’s thriving Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) ecosystem.
During the event, the Chief Minister launched the IRIS Peridot MSME TV App, an innovative platform aimed at empowering MSMEs with real-time access to resources, government schemes, and market opportunities. Udyam Registration Certificates were also distributed to newly registered MSME entrepreneurs, and several skilled trainees were felicitated for their achievements.
Highlighting Goa’s robust MSME landscape, Dr. Sawant shared that the state is home to over 70,000 MSMEs, collectively contributing more than ₹21,000 crore to the economy. He emphasized the state’s efforts in promoting women-led startups, technological innovation, and inclusive growth through the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) initiative.
“Goa is committed to building a strong, self-reliant economy. Through collaborative efforts, we aim to realize the vision of Swayampurna Goa and contribute to Viksit Bharat @2047,” said the Chief Minister in his address.
The event showcased Goa’s commitment to nurturing a dynamic and future-ready MSME sector that serves as the backbone of economic development and job creation.
