Goa CM Reviews Waste Management Initiatives, Calls for Scientific and Time-Bound Practices
Panaji : Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant chaired a crucial meeting of the Goa Waste Management Corporation (GWMC) along with key officials and stakeholders to review the progress of the State’s waste management initiatives.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister underscored the importance of implementing scientific, accountable, and time-bound waste management practices to maintain Goa’s image as a clean and green State.
He issued specific directives to concerned departments to enhance the management systems for hazardous, biomedical, and wet waste. Dr. Sawant also stressed the need to ensure 100% compliance with regulatory frameworks, urging all agencies involved to work in coordination and with urgency.
The meeting reflects the government’s ongoing commitment to sustainable development and environmental protection through efficient waste management.
