ST Community Benefits from Special Outreach Camp under Dharti Aaba Abhiyan in Sattari
Sattari : A special outreach camp under the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan was held in Bhironde village, Sattari taluka, to enhance access to government welfare schemes for Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities.
Organised by the Village Panchayat of Bhironde, the camp saw participation from multiple state departments including the Directorate of Health Services, Tribal Welfare, Women and Child Development, Agriculture (ZATMA), Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, ITI Valpoi, and DITE&C, among others.
The Department of Information Technology, Electronics & Communications (DITE&C) promoted digital inclusion through schemes like Free Laptops for ST/SC students, ICT training via Knowledge Centres, and digital services through Goa Online and Gramin Mitra. Updates were also shared on Har Ghar Fibre, public Wi-Fi, and Goa Startup Policy 2021.
Officials assisted villagers with on-the-spot enrolments, scheme awareness, and application queries. Some beneficiaries received Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) cards, giving access to digital health records and seamless healthcare.
The camp highlighted a coordinated, people-centric governance model, ensuring last-mile delivery of services and empowering tribal communities with infrastructure, opportunity, and support.
