Goa’s Startup Ecosystem Flourishes Under 2021 Policy: Fueling Innovation and Aatmanirbhar Bharat
Panaji : Goa is rapidly emerging as a vibrant startup destination, thanks to the proactive initiatives under the Goa Startup Policy, 2021. With a clear vision to foster innovation and entrepreneurship, the state government has laid down a strong foundation for startups to thrive.
As of now, 635 startups have been recognized by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), showcasing the state’s growing appeal among young entrepreneurs. To further catalyze growth, Goa has disbursed ₹3.92 crore in incentives and support, directly empowering startups across sectors such as IT, tourism, sustainability, and digital media.
The policy offers a robust framework including targeted financial incentives, mentorship support, incubation facilities, and simplified regulations — making Goa not only a scenic destination but also a serious business hub.
By building a resilient startup ecosystem, Goa is contributing significantly to India’s innovation-led economy and the national vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
