Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao Demands Urgent Action on Paroda Flooding
Paroda : Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao, accompanied by Quepem MLA Altone D’Costa and senior government officials, conducted an inspection of the flood-affected areas in Paroda. Highlighting the severity of the situation, Alemao urged authorities to prioritize public safety and implement immediate, comprehensive flood mitigation measures.
“This is a longstanding issue that has caused immense distress to the residents. Despite repeatedly raising this matter in the Assembly, the government’s inaction is deeply concerning,” Alemao stated.
He also pointed out that WRD Minister Subhash Shirodkar had earlier assured the desilting of the river, but the promise remains unfulfilled. Alemao called upon the state government to act swiftly and provide much-needed relief to the people of Paroda and other affected areas.
