CM Pramod Sawant Meets Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to Discuss Konkan Railway Development
New Delhi : Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant met with Union Minister for Railways and IT, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, in New Delhi today. The meeting focused on the development of Konkan Railway infrastructure and improving railway connectivity in Goa.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister presented several proposals, including the modernization of the Konkan Railway route, introduction of high-speed trains, and the development of new railway stations. Minister Vaishnaw responded positively and assured full support from the Central Government.
Expressing his gratitude, CM Sawant said, “The enhancement of Konkan Railway will strengthen Goa’s transport and tourism sectors. This meeting has paved the way for further developmental progress.”
This high-level discussion marks a significant step towards improving railway connectivity in Goa and boosting regional infrastructure.
