Industries Minister Mauvin Godinho Graces GSIA Annual Function as Chief Guest
Panjim : Industries Minister Shri Mauvin Godinho was the Chief Guest at the Annual General Function of the Goa State Industries Association (GSIA), held at Raythatha Hall, Panjim Gymkhana. The event witnessed the presence of key industrial stakeholders, including Shri Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco, Chairman of Goa-IDC, and prominent industry leaders from across the state, united in their vision for Goa’s industrial advancement.
During his address, Minister Godinho congratulated Shri Pradip Da Costa on taking charge as the new President of GSIA and commended the contributions of outgoing leaders Shri Anirudh Dempo and Shri Damodar Kochkar for laying a strong foundation for industrial growth in the state.
Highlighting the government’s commitment, the Minister emphasized Goa’s focus on building a transparent, future-ready industrial ecosystem. Key initiatives include reserved industrial plots for women entrepreneurs, upgraded infrastructure in industrial estates, a streamlined IPB (Investment Promotion Board) process, and encouragement of vertical expansion to optimize space.
“It’s time we move beyond ease of doing business to ensuring the ease of growing business in Goa,” said Shri Godinho, urging collective efforts to build a resilient and inclusive economy that fosters innovation, generates employment, and promotes ‘Made in Goa’ on global platforms.
Also present on the dais were GSIA President Shri Pradip Da Costa, Immediate Past President Shri Anirudh Dempo, and Secretary Shri Nitin Desai.
The event served as a significant platform for reaffirming public-private partnership towards Goa’s sustainable industrial development.
