Calangute Congress Engages Traffic Officials to Resolve Congestion Issues
Calangute : In a significant move to tackle the escalating traffic congestion in Calangute, the Calangute Congress Block Committee, led by President Lourenco Silveira, held a crucial meeting with the Police Inspector of the Traffic Cell on Tuesday, July 8, 2025.
Prominent local leaders including NGDCC President Virendra Shirodkar, GPYC Vice President Vivek D’Silva, and Calangute Mahila President Carmalina Fernandes attended the meeting. The primary focus was on identifying sustainable solutions to ease road congestion and enhance traffic management.
“We are committed to collaborating with traffic authorities to resolve these issues for the betterment of residents and tourists,” said Lourenco Silveira. Shirodkar stressed the urgent need for improved infrastructure, while D’Silva emphasized community awareness and public cooperation in maintaining traffic discipline.
