Goa Congress President Amit Patkar Holds Strategic Meet with Minority Cell
Panaji : Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) President Amit Patkar convened a focused meeting with the Goa Minority Department of the Indian National Congress at the Congress House in Panaji, reaffirming the party’s commitment to safeguarding the rights and concerns of minority communities across the state.
Speaking at the meeting, Patkar emphasized that the voices of Goa’s minority communities have been consistently sidelined under the BJP-led government. “It is our duty to ensure these voices are not just heard, but actively represented in policy-making and governance. Congress remains steadfast in its mission to uphold justice, equality, and representation for all Goans,” he said.
Patkar lauded the grassroots efforts of Minority Department Chairman Niazi Shaikh and the Executive Committee members for their continued dedication to addressing community issues and mobilizing support at the local level.
The meeting focused on current challenges faced by minority communities, outreach strategies, and strengthening organizational coordination to build a more inclusive political roadmap ahead of the upcoming civic and assembly elections.
