North Goa Collector Chairs Annual General Meeting of DSPCA North
Panaji: The Annual General Meeting of the District Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (DSPCA) North Goa was held under the chairmanship of North Goa Collector, Shri. Ankit Yadav, IAS. During the meeting, the Member Secretary presented the audited accounts to the body for approval.
The Hon. Executive Secretary gave a comprehensive presentation on the various activities undertaken by DSPCA North, highlighting key cases addressed by the officers during the year. The society handles all matters under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960.
In addition to animal welfare interventions, DSPCA North also addresses issues related to feeder harassment in coordination with Resident Welfare Associations and Housing Societies, helping to identify appropriate feeding zones in consultation with other departments.
