Goa Delegation Visits Delhi Ahead of International Purple Festival – Goa 2025
New Delhi : In preparation for the upcoming International Purple Festival – Goa 2025, scheduled from 9th to 12th October 2025, a high-level delegation from Goa paid an official visit to the national capital.
The delegation was led by Shri Subhash Phal Dessai, Hon’ble Minister for Social Welfare and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Government of Goa, accompanied by Shri Guruprasad Pawaskar, State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities.
During their Delhi visit, the delegation extended formal invitations to several key Union Ministers for the festival and held discussions on critical issues related to Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) in Goa. The initiative aims to strengthen cooperation and ensure a more inclusive and impactful event.
The Goa team also held a courtesy meeting with the Chief Minister of Delhi, Smt. Rekha Gupta, along with Shri Ashish Sood, Hon’ble Minister for Home, Delhi, and Shri Ravinder Singh (Indraj), Hon’ble Minister for Social Welfare, Delhi.
The International Purple Festival is Goa’s flagship event dedicated to celebrating inclusivity, accessibility, and the rights and achievements of Persons with Disabilities, drawing national and international participation.
