Congress Holds ‘Samvidhan Bachao Abhiyan’ in Ponda, Vows to Defend Democracy
In a strong show of unity and resolve, Congress held a Samvidhan Bachao Abhiyan in Ponda, bringing together supporters and karyakartas from Shiroda, Marcaim, and Ponda constituencies. The campaign aimed to reaffirm the party’s commitment to protecting the Constitution and defeating the BJP’s agenda of defection and division.
Addressing the gathering, party leaders highlighted the growing public discontent over key issues such as unemployment, poor law and order, inflation, administrative failures, and the BJP’s politics of hatred and vendetta. Ponda taluka, in particular, is grappling with serious concerns, especially in healthcare and job opportunities. The Sub District Hospital in Ponda continues to suffer from a lack of facilities, despite repeated demands from the local community.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from youth, raising critical questions about the region’s future. Congress leaders condemned the BJP’s attempts to weaken the party by luring away MLAs but expressed confidence in reclaiming traditional strongholds like Shiroda and Ponda.
