‘Feeding Hands’ Felicitates Police Officers in Mapusa
Mapusa: Inspector Nikhil Palekar and Police Constable Sandesh Aroskar of the Mapusa Police Station were recently (on Thursday, July 10) felicitated by the Feeding Hands Goa Foundation for helping a pregnant woman and her two children who were in a distressing situation.
The felicitation was in recognition of the humanitarian act carried out by the police constable. As a token of appreciation for their noble efforts, both officers were honored with a certificate of appreciation by Ms. Shreha Dhargalkar, trustee of the Feeding Hands Goa Foundation.
Present on the occasion were trust members Sudesh Dhargalkar, Seby Mendonsa, Jerome Pereira, and Makbool Sheikh.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Shreha Dhargalkar said that individuals who perform such humanitarian acts should also be duly honored by the government. She also praised Inspector Nikhil Palekar for his leadership in fostering a team of police personnel who are committed to such noble causes.
