Goa BJP President Damu Naik Joins Welfare Initiative to Empower Differently-Abled Citizens
Fatorda : In a heartwarming gesture underscoring the values of dignity and compassion, Shri Subhash Phal Dessai, Minister for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities and Social Welfare, handed over a tri-cycle to 79-year-old specially-abled Shri Yeshwant (Shivaji) Hegde of Fatorda.
The event, held at Ravindra Bhavan, Fatorda, was graced by the presence of Goa BJP President Shri Damu Naik, who reaffirmed the party’s commitment to inclusive growth and social empowerment. BJP Fatorda Mandal karyakartas also actively participated in the initiative, reflecting grassroots support for welfare programs.
Speaking at the event, Shri Damu Naik expressed his appreciation for the department’s efforts and emphasized the importance of uplifting every section of society with respect and care. Shri Subhash Phal Dessai lauded Shri Hegde’s spirit and reiterated the government’s dedication to supporting the specially-abled through concrete schemes and assistance.
