MLA Sankalp Amonkar Leads Joint Inspection on Landslide-Prone Road near Headland Sada
Mormugao : In a proactive move to ensure public safety, MLA Sankalp Amonkar attended a crucial joint meeting convened at the office of the Deputy Collector & Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Mormugao. The meeting was held in connection with the ongoing work at the landslide-affected area along the road connecting Varnapuri to Headland Sada.
The meeting brought together key stakeholders including officials from the Traffic Police, Goa Police, National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), Public Works Department (PWD National Highways), and Gammon India. Discussions focused on immediate and long-term security measures to prevent further accidents and ensure the safety of commuters.
Following the meeting, the delegation conducted an on-site inspection of the affected area to assess the situation firsthand and finalize the safety measures to be implemented.
Prominent officials present during the visit included Deputy Collector Shri Bhagwant Karmali, DySP Vasco Shri Gurudas Kadam, PI Traffic Cell Vasco Shri Alvito Rodrigues, NHAI Project Director Shri C.O.P. Furtado, Gammon India Manager Shri Deepak Bandekar, and senior officials from PWD (NH).
MLA Amonkar emphasized the urgent need for coordinated efforts to expedite the work and ensure the safety of the public.
