Goa Govt. Launches Job-Oriented Certificate Courses to Boost Youth Employability
Panaji: Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant on Thursday witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Directorate of Higher Education, Goa, and the Foundation for Skill Development (FSD). The collaboration aims to launch nine job-oriented certificate courses in partnership with various Higher Educational Institutions across the state.
These short-term, 30-hour courses will be offered in both online and offline formats, focusing on key skill areas such as Accounting, Taxation, Business Communication, and Artificial Intelligence. The initiative is designed to enhance the employability of Goan students, especially those pursuing commerce.
Congratulating the Foundation for Skill Development, Dr. Sawant lauded the initiative as a strong step towards supporting the vision of Skill India and empowering Goa’s youth to become a skilled and future-ready workforce.
