Quarterly DISHA Meeting Held in Margao to Review Central Schemes Implementation
Margao : The quarterly review meeting of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) was held yesterday at the Mathany Saldanha Complex, Margao. The meeting was chaired in the presence of Hon’ble Rajya Sabha MP Shri Sadanand Tanawade, MP capt. Viriato Fernandez and South Goa Collector Smt. Egna Cleetus.
DISHA Committees, constituted by the Ministry of Rural Development, aim to monitor the effective implementation of key Central Government schemes and programmes. The platform ensures coordination among elected representatives at all levels Parliament, State Legislatures, and Local Bodies to promote time-bound and efficient district-level development.
The meeting emphasized participative governance and deliberative democracy, focusing on improved coordination to maximize the impact of welfare schemes in South Goa.
