DPE Secretary Inaugurates Workshop on Industry 4.0 Adoption in CPSEs
In a bid to accelerate digital transformation in public enterprises, the Department of Public Enterprises (DPE), Ministry of Finance, organised a Workshop on Industry 4.0 in New Delhi. Inaugurated by DPE Secretary Shri K. Moses Chalai, the workshop stressed on a “Whole-of-CPSEs” approach to integrate Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) technologies such as AI, IoT, Digital Twins, 3D Printing, and 5G-enabled infrastructure into CPSE operations.
Experts and sector leaders discussed adoption strategies across key sectors like Energy, Infrastructure, Telecom, and Services. Presentations by experts highlighted applications of Digital Twins, AI, and 3D Printing, while CPSEs such as Powergrid, BSNL, and HSCC shared successful pilots in smart manufacturing and digital simulations.
Top CPSEs including NTPC, NHPC, GAIL, and IRCTC participated, reaffirming their commitment to innovation. DPE aims to support CPSEs in leveraging emerging technologies for global competitiveness and sustainable growth. Regional workshops are planned till August 2025.
