CM Dr. Pramod Sawant Inaugurates 24th World IPCA International Chess Championship 2025 for Persons with Disabilities
PANAJI: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant inaugurated the prestigious 24th World IPCA International Chess Championship 2025 for Persons with Disabilities at the International Centre Goa, Dona Paula. The event witnessed the presence of several dignitaries, including Social Welfare Minister Shri Subhash Phal Dessai, legendary hockey player and Arjuna Awardee Shri Ashok Dhyanchand, Curchorem MLA Shri Nilesh Cabral, and State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities Shri Guruprasad Pawaskar.
The championship brings together talented players with disabilities from across the globe, promoting inclusivity and excellence in sports. In his address, CM Sawant emphasized Goa’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for persons with disabilities and praised the participants for their spirit and determination.
